Technical Services Manager – Ohio / Pennsylvania

A global leader in the Animal Health Industry has a need for a Technical Services Manager for its Ohio / Pennsylvania territory.

This position includes responsibility for executing clinical research and communications programs within the agreed strategy to ensure science and product is supported by the retail community, as well as veterinarians. The successful candidate will be expected to support the company brand and to assist in introducing innovative products and programs to the Retail Channel quickly and with excellence.

Responsibilities include representing the company within the pet community, which includes: technical training and development of sales personnel; assisting on calls with key accounts; training of influencers in key accounts; the delivery of technical presentations; active participation in the University Programs; and participation in trade shows, continuing education programs, and symposia as needed.

Qualifications include: DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent with an active license in one or more states is required. Previous experience in sales, communications, education, or a marketing role in the veterinary community.

Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes) are required. The applicant must possess a high level of initiative and drive. Good interpersonal skills and the ability and willingness to be a team player are critical. In addition, the applicant will be required to travel overnight, including weekends, up to 75%.
