The Regional Sales Manager will manage and direct the sales forces to achieve sales and commercial margin goals within a designated region by effective implementation of marketing strategies and management controls. 

Ideally, the incumbent will be located in NY tri-state area or Boston.

The incumbent will establish and propose annual budget forecasts and P&L and will participate and validate the 12-month rolling forecasts of his region to ensure accuracy of forecasts. The incumbent will set and adjust market share, sales, profitability goals and other personal objectives as appropriate for each individual territory and territory managers.  Areas of accountability include people management, building talent, P&L management and financials, customers management and development, marketing strategy implementation, distribution effectiveness, industry relations and market knowledge.

Qualifications include a broad knowledge of the veterinary industry, specialization in the animal health field, ability to gather, identify and incorporate information from a variety of sources and key trends into long-term plans and analyses, must be familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices and procedures. Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to establish comfortable two-way communications. Must be computer literate, including e-mail and Internet and be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point. Thorough understanding and ability to interpret P&L statements. Financial acumen.  Incumbent will be expected to empower and motivate team members, demonstrate customer focus, manage execution showing drive and results, establish efficient plans and communicate effectively
