Area Business Manager – Animal Health

Leader in animal health products is looking for an Area Business Manager.  KEY responsibilities include:

• Establish and achieve sales goals for all sales activities within the area, including sales to distributors, as well as directly to veterinarians.
• Manage all area sales personnel, creating a developmental plan for each employee and ensuring achievement of the plan objectives.
• Develop & successfully execute territory marketing plans
• Submit sales forecasts and control of expenses within the area are routine monthly responsibilities.
• Supervise, control and routinely evaluate performance of Regional Sales Managers
• Interview and recommend the hiring of sales personnel, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree and work experience in the following disciplines: the Sciences, Business Administration, Psychology, Marketing, Sales Training and Advertising.
• Ten or more years of successful sales and five or more years of sales management experience is an absolute minimum requirement.
• 8-10 years of successful experience working with veterinary distributors (including the highest level of distributor management) as well as at least 10 years experience of successful sales experience to veterinarians and or producers.
• Demonstrated, proficient communications skills – Writing, Speaking, Listening and Presentation.
• Computer literacy
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills are a requirement.
• Animal Health experience
