The Swine Veterinarian is responsible for providing both practical and scientific support to internal and external customers, in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage in the pork industry. The Swine Veterinarian must serve as a scientific and technical advisor to operations personnel on matters related to swine veterinary medicine. The Swine Veterinarian is responsible for supporting and educating the swine sales force and pork customers in the proper use and placement of biological and pharmaceutical products within the pork production system. The ideal candidate will be one who is recognized for expertise in the areas of, but not limited to Pork Production, Swine Respiratory Disease, Immunology, Anti Infectives. This position will require overnight travel.

Qualifications include Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree with license in at least one US state, 1 year post doctoral experience in clinical practice, academia, research or industry, private practice or production medicine experience preferred, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in-depth understanding of U.S Pork Production

Swine Technical Services Veterinarian

This position exists to drive demand for our client’s products into the swine industry by providing expert technical support to customers and to build strong ties with key influencers across the industry including veterinarians, nutritionists and the academic community.  This position will cover areas including Nebraska, Iowa, & Minnesota.

 The incumbent will collaborate closely with the sales team to advance revenue and earnings by providing timely, expert, technical information regarding the efficacy and value of our client’s products. Design feed additive programs with customers that will enable them to achieve maximum performance from products. Provide the global marketing team with accurate, credible and current technical information that will support the achievement of commercial objectives. Assist the swine integrator production companies in the technical evaluation of production issues and to provide logical solutions to them. To participate in the conduct of research trials designed to promote the use of our client’s product lines. To positively interface with industry decision makers, influencers and key academic scientific leaders in the US swine industry in support of our client’s products. Attend trade shows and academic conferences to support and build product lines. Qualifications include an expert command of swine health, in depth understanding of swine production, husbandry and processing. Demonstrated ability to design and manage meaningful field trials, excellent understanding of current trends and issues in swine health. Competency in computer application, MS office, etc.

Poultry Technical Support Manager

The Technical Support Manager will provide technical service and training to customers including end users and distributors and in collaboration with other company personnel and will oversee trials involving use of company products under commercial conditions.  The incumbent will troubleshoot customer problems, provide assistance to the Director of New Product Development, deliver presentations describing the company’s products and technologies and will contribute to the development of public view materials intending to support the company’s sales and marketing efforts.  The incumbent will represent the company at meetings and trade shows.

Qualifications include excellent communication skills, willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time both domestically and international, self motivated, detail oriented, organized, ability to work independently, comfortable in public speaking roles, high-level understanding of poultry health, preferably derived from a combination of formal education and work experience. Strong understanding of poultry nutrition a plus. Must demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a willingness to contribute to team efforts and flexibility in accepting a variety of roles within an emerging science-based company. Advanced degree in poultry science, veterinary science and/or nutrition or a demonstrated competency in these areas derived from extensive experience.

Technical Services Veterinarian – Poultry

The incumbent is responsible for technical services, field studies and technical education of company personnel and external customers. Assists with product development. Will provide scientific evaluation of products that the Animal Safety Division should consider. Contributes to product development activities in the Animal Safety Division. Provides technical service function for sales of all animal health products in division. This includes follow-up phone calls. Will be responsible for maintaining the file on adverse reactions. Provides sales support to the tam by training in product use, attending trade shows, going on sales calls with sales personnel to important customers. 

Qualifications include licensed veterinarian with poultry industry experience.

Swine Veterinarian

The incumbent will assist the Director of Research and Nutritional Services in directing and coordinating research and development activities in the species of focus. Directs and coordinates activities of department concerned with providing internal and external customer technical services in conjunction with marketing activities by  performing the following duties:  Provide technical sales support to sales staff and customers within the United States and internationally. Direct, coordinate, and summarize studies as required to grow sales, develop new products or new applications of current products and provide data for registration and regulatory purposes.  Sign Animal Health/Veterinary Certificates and other documents as required. Maintain contacts and relationships with university, research and scientific/veterinary personnel and other influencers. Interact with industry veterinary groups, associations and individuals for the purposes of enhancing the sales process, improving the visibility of our client.

Qualifications include DVM with 1-5 years of experience and training. Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, scientific peers and customers. Up to 60% travel including international travel.
