This position will manage the day to day client relationship with the agency through the ability to understand and align client marketing and business objectives while developing high-level long term strategic plans.  This position monitors Agency efforts to ensure adherence to strategic plans and tactical goals, overall ensuring deliverables meet Agency and Client strategic requirements.  The incumbent will ensure all current client relationships and deliverables are satisfactorily being met and manages the client-facing and internal support resources of the agency. The Account Supervisor will participate in formulating the marketing objectives and plans for a brand or company since their experience allows for valuable input and perspective while serving as “quality control” check.  The incumbent will proactively lead/participate in and provide strategic insight in client business while delivering on the tactical elements and will be a catalyst in developing and maintaining strong relationships between appropriate Client management and agency and industry contacts. This entails keeping the Client aware of the Agency’s contribution, seeking out their ideas and increasing their confidence in the Agency’s ability to provide superior client service. Work with the Team Director to ensure the proper staffing of the account(s). Teach, mentor and lead staff on how to develop strategic plans and strategic counsel.

Qualifications include five to seven years account service experience or the equivalent with the agency. Must have a minimum of seven to eight years of overall business experience and business Acumen (financial, marketing and strategic) skills necessary to effectively interface with clients and strategically position issues, products and brands in the marketplace. Negotiating skills are necessary to participate in contract negotiations with clients and vendors. People leadership skills are essential to hire, develop, motivate and lead a team of people. Communication skills (verbal, written and listening) are critical to interface/present with and to clients. Interpersonal skills are necessary to provide advertising direction within and outside the agency. Business writing-strategic documents and written interaction with client-required. Team skills necessary to lead a group of people in accomplishing agency goals. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. Digital, including social media, experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and electronic mail.
